WINDSOR, ONT. April 20, 2004 - A record shattering 878 wines were sent to Windsor for judging this year, from a total of 106 wineries coast to coast. After two full days of evaluation by panels of judges assembled from British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Michigan, the results were tallied. An elegant Pinot Noir from Cilento Wines in Ontario, took the highly anticipated Best Red Wine of the Year Trophy. Again, the Bosc family demonstrated their skill with the sparkling wines, taking the trophy for Best Sparkling wine of the Year for the second consecutive year.
